OBIT GILES, JOHN RICE

GILES, John Rice, 77, of Salem, died Sunday, January 9, 1994, in a Roanoke hospital. He was retired from Piedmont Airlines. Mr. Giles is survived by his wife, Ruth Custer Giles; a son, John J. Giles, Summerville, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan Giles and Michael Bellanca, Richmond; two brothers, Ralph L. Giles, Harry L. Giles, both of Salem; three grandchildren, John Christian Giles, Andrea Ruth Giles, and Michelle Bellanca. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 1994, noon at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Ira Tolliver officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel after noon on Tuesday.
