OBIT SOYARS, MARY GREEN

SOYARS, Mary Green, 95, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, January 10, 1994. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was the widow of Mr. R. Fields Soyars. Mrs. Soyars is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Dorris S. Brubaker and husband, N. Arthur Brubaker, Roanoke; one son-in-law, Joe Bowles, Roanoke; four grandchildren, Mrs. Lynne B. Elmore and husband, Rev. Richard L. Elmore, Roanoke, Michael N. Brubaker and wife, Dee, Roanoke, Sandra H. Link and husband, Tom Link, Virginia Beach; R. Stephen Bowles, and wife Barbara, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 1994, with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer and the Rev. Richard L. Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Oakland Baptist Church, Sanctuary Renovation Fund. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
