OBIT JACKSON, DELLA

JACKSON, Della, 96, of Abingdon, died Tuesday, January 11, 1994, in Johnston Memorial HOspital. A native of Russell County, she was of the Baptist Faith. She was the widow of Douglas Jackson. She was preceded in death by three sons, Buford Jackson, Dennie Jackson and Harold Jackson. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Evangeline Vencille, Abingdon and Mrs. Dorothy Kiser, Goodview; one son, David Jackson, Goodview; two sisters, Celia Penland, Rock, W.Va., and Mrs. Maxie Musick, Bluefield, W.Va.; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at the Russell County Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Maurice Lay officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Russell County Funeral Home in Lebanon.
