This first meeting will emphasize strategies in Montgomery County. Approaches in Pulaski County will be discussed at a Pulaskians Encouraging Progress membership meeting Thursday at the Pulaski County Administration Building.
The other meetings will be Tuesday at the Bank of Floyd for Floyd County, Jan. 19 at the New River Valley Planning District Commission for the city of Radford, and Jan. 20 at the Giles Presbyterian Church for Giles County.
All the meetings will start at 7 p.m.
Holly Lesko, with the Planning District Commission, said the strategies being unveiled are the result of a series of community meetings in each jurisdiction and last month's Vision 2020 meeting covering the entire New River Valley.
It is important for residents of each jurisdiction to attend their meetings and comment on the strategies, she said, because the plans can affect the region's future as well as influence such factors as federal funding for industrial site construction and other activities.
