OBIT--HUFFMAN, HOWARD P.

HUFFMAN, Howard P., 86, of Newport, passed away Wednesday in Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Hallie Hughes, Beulah Champs, and Stella Duncan; one brother, Arthur Huffman. He is survived by his devoted wife, Leona M. Huffman, Newport. Three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty H. Estes, Allen and Shelby Bradford, Jim and Carolyn Harris, all of Newport; two sons and daughters-in-law, Leslie H. and Jeanette Huffman, New Castle, Bobby P. and Mary Huffman, Newport; five grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-grandson. A number of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at Gravel Hill Christian Church by the Rev. John Cox at 2 pm on Friday, January 14, 1994. Burial will follow at at the Williams Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Boitnott Funeral Home, 7 to 9 pm Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations be send to the Simmonsville Fire Department.
