HOOP SHOOT CONTEST WILL BE HELD JAN. 22

The Elks Hoop Shoot contest will be held Jan. 22 at James Madison Middle School on Overland Road Southwest.

Boy and girl participants will be grouped in three age brackets: 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

The boys' contest will get under way at 9:30 a.m., and the girls will shoot at 11 a.m.

Six overall winners will advance to the district tournament to be held Feb. 5 at the school.

In case of snow, the contest will be held on Jan. 29.
