IT'S MOVING DAY FOR COUNTY OFFICES

Don't even think about paying your taxes today in Roanoke County.

The county treasurer - and several other departments - will be closed today to move to new quarters off Virginia 419, near Tanglewood Mall.

The move will consolidate most of the county's administrative offices under one roof. The building is at 5204 Bernard Drive.

The following departments will be closed today: commissioner of revenue, human resources, planning and zoning, treasurer, real estate assessor and engineering and inspections.

All other departments will remain open today.

All county offices will reopen Tuesday, following the Lee-Jackson-King holiday Monday.
