Mill, who had not played since a 7-4 loss to Knoxville on Jan. 2, had a 5.01 goals-against average and a 4-3-1 record in 12 games.
The Express is Holdeman's fifth ECHL team this season. Roanoke fans may remember him as the player who scored the winning goal in South Carolina's 7-6 victory over the Express on Oct. 23. Holdeman went on to play for Wheeling, Louisville and Huntington, accumulating four goals, two assists and 24 penalty minutes in 21 games.
To replace Mill on the roster for tonight's game at Toledo, Roanoke coach Frank Anzalone called on an old friend. The Express signed goalie Paul Cohen, who had played for Anzalone in Nashville and had spent this season in the Colonial Hockey League.
Roanoke also announced that left wing Gordie Pell, who had two assists in three games with the Express, has left the team to play in the Central Hockey League.
