ALLEN, John Alexander, ("Lex"), of Roanoke. Memorial service 3 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 1994, at Hollins College Chapel. A reception will follow in the Green Drawing Room. Dr. Allen was a professor in the English Deparment of the College for 37 years. He died Tuesday, December 21, 1993, after an automobile accident.
