OBIT-FITZGERALD, NANNIE RUTH

FITZGERALD, Nannie Ruth, 72, of Roanoke, passed away at her home Wednesday, January 12, 1994. She was a retired employee of Rose's Department Store and was the widow of William Troy Fitzgerald. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, J.R. Fitzgerald and wife, Charlene, Troutville, H. Dean Fitzgerald and wife, Jackie, Roanoke; two daughters, Betty F. May, Blue Ridge, Jo Ann F. Pruitt, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Rhonda Fitzgerald, Traci (Doug) Dempsey, Leslie Young, Keith Fitzgerald, Mark Fitzgerald; three great-grandchildren, Troy Dempsey, Amber Dempsey and Megan Young; one sister, Mrs. Nina Lineberry, Galax; one brother, Robert Thornton, Colorado; two special friends, Harold Pruitt and Ralph Lovelace. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 1994, with the Rev. Terry Nester officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
