OBIT-MORRIS, ELGENE BRITTON SR.

MORRIS, Elgene Britton Sr., 85, of Route 2, Miller Lane, Pulaski, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 1994, in the Radford Community Hospital, Radford. Born April 16, 1908, in Newbern, Va., he was the son of the late James William Morris and Lucy Linkous Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Moles Morris, and a daughter, Mrs. James (Grace) Crane, and a granddaughter, Twana Sue Morris. He was the owner of the E.B. Morris & Sons Plumbing & Electric Company, Pulaski. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Durward (Annie Mae) Anderson, Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Clifford (June) King, Pulaski, Mrs. Hugh (Mabel) King, Pearisburg, Mrs. Lawrence (Jean) McPeak, Newbern, Mrs. Glenn (Janet) Shumate, Chester, Mrs. Eddie (Patsy) Carr, Moneta, Mrs. Bob (Carol) Marble, Wasilla, Alaska; two sons, Elgene Britton (E.B.) Morris Jr., Dublin, Larry D. Morris, Radford; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Riner, Newbern, Mrs. Jeanette Biggs, Weikel, W.Va.; brother, Eugene Wheeler Morris, Draper. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday from Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with Minister Eddie Callahan and Minister Clifton McLawhorn officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, Shiloh, Va. Visiting will be today after 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. The family will be meeting at the homeplace, Rt. 2, Miller Lane, Pulaski, where friends may call at anytime. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
