OBIT-ROOP, HUBERT CLEVELAND

ROOP, Hubert Cleveland, 74, of 1230 Scott Street, Christiansburg, died Thursday, January 13, 1994 at his home after an extended illness. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Christiansburg Church of the Brethern where he served as an usher and Sunday School Chairman. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Hazel Lovern Roop; two sons and daughters-in-law, Hubert C. Jr. and Judy D. Roop, Luray, Daniel R. and Rebecca H. Roop, Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Jason B. Roop, Elizabeth R. Roop and Jeffrey H. Roop. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 15 at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Richard H. Horne with burial in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to New River Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 10896, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Friday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
