NEW SHELL BUILDING RADFORD INDUSTRIAL DRAW

A recently completed 45,200-square-foot shell building is increasing interest by bringing industrial prospects to the Radford area.

They come to check out the building, said Jill Barr, economic development director for the city of Radford, but end up checking out other potential sites in the Radford Industrial Center.

It has been an unexpected bonus from the building, she said.

The building, located on a 6.5-acre site, was completed in October. It has a 40,000 square-foot manufacturing area and 5,200 square feet of office space. Heating, air-conditioning and other features can be added in 60 to 90 days, according to tenant specifications.

The Radford Industrial Development Authority can arrange a lease, lease-purchase or sale of the building to an industrial tenant. Building and site plans are available from Barr (731-3623) or Franklyn Moreno, executive director of the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance (382-2600).
