The Celtics used pressure defense to hold the Raiders without a field goal until 5:22 remained in the third quarter en route to a Blue Ridge Conference victory.

Roanoke Catholic (6-4, 3-1) outrebounded North Cross 35-23, including 19-8 on the offensive glass.

The Raiders' record slipped to 6-3, 4-2. \

The Knights used a full-court press to force 34 Patriots turnovers in the Roanoke Valley District rout.

Cave Spring (12-1, 3-1) led 36-17 at halftime and was paced by Allison Beightol's 14 points. Leah Daigle added 13 points, and Aimee Beightol scored 10.

Elisha Jones led Patrick Henry (0-8, 0-4) with 11 points.

The Knights scored numerous easy baskets in transition and shot 53 percent from the field.
