HILL-MATTHEWS

Marshall and Beth Hill, of Radford, announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Dawn Hill, to Kevin Wayne Matthews, of Radford, son of Linda F. Matthews, of Radford, and Corwin G. Matthews, Jr., of Beverton, Oregon.

The bride elect is a 1990 graduate of Pulaski County High School and is pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene at Wytheville Community College where she will graduate in May, 1994. She is the granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Donald D. Smith, of Dublin, and Mr. and Mrs.Garland F. Hill, of Fairlawn; the great-granddaughter of Flora L. Varner and the late Russell M. Varner, Sr., of Radford; Mary B. Smith, of Elkins, West Virginia, and Joseph D. Smith, of Valley Bend, West Virginia.

The groom elect is a 1989 graduate of Radford High School and is presently employed by Taylor Office Supply in Radford. He is the grandson of the late Louis Fernandez and Julia Schoffel, of New York City, and Mr. and Mrs. Corwin G. Matthews, Sr., of Radford.

No date has been set for the wedding.
