Heather Lynn Cinnamon and AltonLarue Gwaltney, III, were married January 1,
1994, in Canon Memorial Chapel at the University of Richmond. FatherDavid
McGuire performed the ceremony. The reception was held at the The Downtown
Club in Richmond, Va. The maid of honor was Mirka Jimenez. Bridesmaids were
Jolie Rebecca Hesse, BarbaraBryant Palmer, Nancy Gail Gwaltney and Emily
Collier Gwaltney, sisters of the groom, and Jennifer Ethel Block. Flowergirl
was Amy Ann Cinnamon, sister of the bride. The best man was Charles Frederick
Payne. Ushers were GarnettWilliamson Byrd, John Mitchell Merritt, Eric Charles
Cinnamon, brother of the bride, Claude Stuart Whitehead, and Peter Bernard
Baruch. The bride's gown was silk with a dropped waist and sweetheart
neckline. She carried a bouquet of Cala lilies. The bride is a daughter of
Colonel and Mrs. Charles Edward Cinnamon, of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She
graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, attended T.C.
Williams School of Law, and is employed by the Law office of Geoffrey
McDonald. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Larue Gwaltney, Jr.,
of Roanoke. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College and T.C. Williams School
of Law. He is employed by Delegate John Watkins of Chesterfield. After the
wedding trip to Paris, France, the newlyweds will live in Richmond, Virginia.
