Jessica Ann Richardson and Kenneth Russell Spicer, III, were married
January 8, 1994, at Cave Spring Baptist Church. Reverend Richard Elmore
performed the ceremony. The reception was held at The Elks Lodge. Junior
bridesmaid wasElizabeth Williams, a cousin. The matron of honor was Shawn
Long, best friend. Bridesmaids were Tosha Barter andDonna Lanier, friends, and
Kristi Spicer, sister-in-law. Flowergirls were MariaArrington and Heather
Boitnott, cousins. The best man was Russ Spicer, father of the groom. Ushers
were Ted Grigoreiss and Brian Shockley, friends, Tony Richardson,
brother-in-law, and Keith Spicer, brother. Ringbearer was Levi Arrington. The
guestbook was attended by Crystal Whitlock. The bride wore an elegant white
bridal satin gown with bateau neckline and delicately hand-beaded lace
cascading onto a full skirt and blooming onto the Imperial train. She carried
a crescent bouquet of white bridal roses, English ivy, purple statice, and
baby's breath. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Richardson, of
Myrtle Beach, S.C. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School and from the
College of Health Sciences. She is employed by Roanoke Memorial Hospitals. The
bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Russ Spicer, of Roanoke. He graduated from
Virginia Western Community College and is employed by Orvis. After the wedding
trip to Snowshoe Mountain, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
