A program of wedding music was presented by Jane Townsend, cousin of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory satin fashioned with a cathedral train. A wide embroidered bertha outlined the neck, which came to a deep V in the back. The wedding gown was worn by the bride's mother and several other members of the family.
Angela Dunlavey, of Goochland, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Linda Tirico, sister of the groom, Laura Anderson, cousin of the bride, and Lori Johnson, sister-in-law of the bride, all of Roanoke.
The groom's brother, F. ThomasTirico, of Roanoke, served as best man. Ushers were Todd Johnson, brother of the bride, Gary Harris, friend of the groom, both of Roanoke, and Jay Nash, friend of the groom, of Richmond.
The bride is the daughter of William E. and Priscilla Johnson, of Salem, Va. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is employed by Circuit City Corporate Headquarters. The groom is the son of Frank Tirico and the late Ruth Tirico. He is employed by James River Irrigation.
A reception was held at the Columbian Center, Richmond, after the ceremony.
After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Richmond.
