SMITH ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Smith Jr. (Pete and Joyce) celebrated their 50th anniversary on December 30, 1993. The celebration was held at The Roanoke Restaurant and was hosted by their sons. The couple were married January 11, 1944 in York, S.C. They have lived all of their married lives in Roanoke. She is the former Joyce Elizabeth Brazell. Their children are Carl R. Smith of Des Moines, Iowa, Louis E. Reynolds of Sterling, Va. and J. David Smith of Columbia, S.C. The have ten grandchildren. Mr. Smith is retired from Norfolk Southern and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Guests attending the celebration included Mrs. Catherine Gregory, Mr. and Mrs. G. O. Gregory, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Smith, their sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
