OBIT-BURKS, ANNE ZOLLMAN

BURKS, Anne Zollman, 62, of Lexington, died Saturday, January 15, 1994 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born May 29, 1931 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late John Zollman and Mildred Donald Zollman. Mrs. Burks was a member of Elliott's Hill United Methodist Church, charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Lexington Life Saving & First Aid Crew, and Elliot's Hill United Methodist Women. Surviving are her husband, D. Wayne Burks, Lexington; mother-in-law, Mrs. Bonnie Burks, Glasgow; five aunts, Mrs. Clelia Agnor, Mrs. Lillian Swink, Mrs. Emma Moore, Mrs. Dorothy Moore, and Mrs. Polly Zollman, all of Lexington; two brothers-in-law and wives, Don and Brenda Burks, Vinton, Porter and Faye Burks, Glasgow; one sister-in-law and husband, Raenelle and Leonard Bolt, Natural Bridge; special niece, Annett Simms, Lexington; and a number of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 17, 1994 at 2 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William K. Thomas officiating. Burial to follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ladies Auxiliary of Lexington Life Saving Crew, 120 S. Jefferson St., Lexington, Va. 24450. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Harrison Funeral Home.
