OBIT-FISHER, RALPH J. SR.

FISHER, Ralph J. Sr., 70, of Atkins, died Friday, January 14, 1994, in Smyth County Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Chandler Fisher of Atkins, Virginia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Earl Parsons of Max Meadows, Va. and Janice and Fred Conner of Marion, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Zana Fisher of Atkins, Va.; his mother, Carrie Briggs Fisher of Mars Hill, N.C.; five sisters, Nina Mae Reece of Jupiter, N.C., Grace Buckner of Alexander, N.C., Iva Glen Greene of Weaverville, N.C., Eileen Griffin and Helen Griffin both of Mars Hill, N.C.; two brothers, V. C. Fisher of Alexander, N.C. and Howard Fisher of Arden, N.C.; six grandchildren, Cindy and Marco Parsons, Emily Conner, Megan and Troy Fisher, and Julie Hammons. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 19, 1994, 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Grady Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral service is in charge of the arrangements.
