STAPLES LEADS OAK HILL TO WIN

Curtis Staples pumped in 36 points to lead Oak Hill Academy to a 105-85 victory over Canterbury School of Acokeek, Md., in boys' basketball Sunday.

Staples, a former Patrick Henry-Roanoke player who will play at Virginia next year, hit eight of 14 3-point shots. Three of his 3-pointers came in the third quarter, when the warriors (21-1) extended a six-point lead by outscoring the Rebels 30-17.
