ROANOKE VALLEY ECONOMIC INDICATORS

Building permits in the Roanoke Valley rose 86.5 percent, from $6.4 million a year ago to $12 million last month, including $1.8 million for a Kroger store. Permits fell 45 percent from $21 million in November, which included an $11.2 expansion at Yokohama Tire.
