OBIT WATSON, MICHAEL EARNEST

WATSON, Michael Earnest, 13, of Marion, died Monday, January 17, 1994, in the Smyth County Community Hospital. He was currently attending Marion Junior High School, and was in the 8th grade. Survivors include, his father, Earnest Watson, Atkins; his mother, Mildred Poston, Winston-Salem, N.C.; brother, Jonathon David Watson, Marion; paternal grandparents, Mr. Frank Watson, Maryland, Mrs. Elanor Ruth VanHoy, Marion; maternal grandparents, Mr. Jay Long, Marion, Mrs. Mildred Rosenbaum, Marion. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Barnett's Marion Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Sage, the Rev. David Neitch and the Rev. Jack Garland officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Barnett's Marion Funeral Home. There will be a viewing for the classmates from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday evening.
