CONTEST WILL NAME NEW COMMUNITY CENTER

The Roanoke County Department of Parks and Recreation is accepting entries in a contest to name its new community center on Brambleton Avenue.

The grand prize is a $50 gift certificate for any recreational program sponsored by the department.

Entries should be mailed by Feb. 1 to: Name the Center, 3738 Brambleton Ave. S.W., Roanoke 24018.

The winner will be announced March 15 on the Roanoke Valley Government Access cable channel. The department is also requesting donations of materials, appliances, furnishings and labor to enhance the center.
