Hillenbrand Industries, Batesville, Ind., owner of Medeco Security Locks Inc. and an electronics division at Salem, on Wednesday declared a 26.7 percent increase in its quarterly dividend, to 14 cents a share from 11 cents. The new dividend is payable on Feb. 25 to stockholders on Feb. 11.

Sara Lee Corp., Chicago-based operator of knitwear mills in Martinsville and a L'eggs distribution center in Salem, said it had acquired Kiwi Brands Ltd., a South Africa-based maker of shoe-care goods and other consumer products.

Federal-Mogul Corp., Southfield, Mich.-based operator of an engine bearings plant in Blacksburg, said Wednesday it intends to offer 4 million shares of common stock. Proceeds will be used to repay a portion of the outstanding debt.
