OBIT KEENEY, THOMAS DANIEL
KEENEY, Thomas Daniel, 82, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, January 18, 1994, in a
local hospital. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, where he was a
Eucharist Minister and former head usher. He was past president of Holy Name
Society and was past faithful navigator of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Era K. Keeney; two sons, Dr. Glenward T. Keeney,
Fayetteville, N.C., Daniel Willard Keeney, Chattanooga, Tenn.; four
granddaughters; two grandsons. A liturgical prayer service will be at 7:30
p.m. at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, with rites by the 4th Degree Knights of
Columbus Honor Guard. Funeral mass will be at St. Andrews Catholic Church,
11:15 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Fr. Randy Rule officiating. Interment will be
in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be
made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 554, Roanoke, Va. 24003-5554 or
the American Heart Association, 4504 Starkey Rd., Suite 115, Roanoke, Va.
24014. There will be a reception following the interment at St. Andrews
Parrish Hall at 1 p.m. Friday.
