JONES, Douglas R., 77, of Rt. 1 Wirtz, passed away Tuesday, January 18,
1994 at the V. A. Medical Center in Salem. He is retired from Associated
Transport. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Pierson Jones; four sons and
daughters-in-law, Robert Edward and Robin Jones, Donny Lee and Doris Jones,
Danny Wayne and Linda Jones, all of Wirtz, Douglas Gene and Debbie Jones,
Roanoke; one daughter, Doris Leora Jones, Wirtz; one sister, Inez J. Altizer,
Vinton; grandsons, Gary Wayne and wife, Leslie Jones, Groton, Conn., John
David Whitney, Roanoke; granddaughters, Sharon Burks and husband, Darryl, of
Roanoke, Brenda Kaye Arnold, Radford; Katheryn Lynn Jones, Wirtz; three
great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 21,
1994 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Fred Devan officiating. Burial
to follow in Parrish Chapel Cemetery, Chamblissburg. Friends may call at Lotz
Vinton Chapel.
