OBIT PANNELL, DAVID SEXTON JR.

PANNELL, David Sexton Jr., ("Pud"), 43, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 1994. He was a Lt. Fireman with the Radford Army Ammunitions Plant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a 25 year member of the Radford Volunteer Fire Dept., Va. State Firefighter, Southwest Firefighter, and the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Shirley P. Pannell, Radford; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Fisher, Fredericksburg; his mother, Peggy R. Pannell, Radford; one brother, Marvin E. Pannell, Radford; two sisters, Mrs. Joyce Akers, Pilot, Mrs. Pansy Kittinger, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, 1994, at the Gethsemane Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, where the members of the Radford VFW will conduct graveside military rites. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
