OBIT MASSEY, THEO HARRIS

MASSEY, Theo Harris, 56, of Wytheville, Va., a native of Fredericksburg, Va., died Wednesday, January 19, 1994, at the Asbury Center in Wytheville, Va. She was a graduate of Randolph Macon Woman's College and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond. She worked at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Alexandria, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., the John Knox Press in Richmond, and St. John's Episcopal Church in Wytheville, where she was a member. She was the daughter of the late Katharine Tinder and James Stuart Massey of Fredericksburg and Wytheville. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Massey and Edmund Pendleton Jr., Belton, S.C.; two nephews, Edmund Stuart Pendleton and William Felton Pendleton; one niece, Elizabeth Harris Pendleton. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Laurie McAlpine noon Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church. Interment will be at the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National M.S. Society, Blue Ridge Chapter, P.O. Box 6808, Charlottesville, VA 22906, or St. John's Episcopal Church, Wytheville, VA 24382. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
