IN BUSINESS

KELLEIGH A. NEAL of Roanoke Neal has been promoted to senior account executive for the western part of the state for Virginia Business, a monthly business magazine.

In addition to her two years with the publication, Neal worked for Roanoke College and Roanoke schools. She earned her bachelor's degree in English from Virginia Tech.

\ SIGNET BANK has donated $3,400 to the Roanoke Valley Court-Appointed Special Advocate Program and $1,000 to Roanoke's West End Center for Youth.

Signet's donation to advocate program will help train 30 volunteers appointed by the court on behalf of abused and neglected children. These volunteers determine the best placement for the children in the foster care system. The bank's donation will also help fund the salary of a full-time director to manage the volunteers.

The West End Center, funded entirely by private contributions, provides 150 children with recreational, educational, nutritional and social programs. Signet's contribution will fund an entire year of programs for one participant.
