OBIT MCCORMICK, DEBORAH MIKELS

McCORMICK, Deborah Mikels, 41, of Buena Vista, died January 18, 1994, in a Charlottesville Hospital. She was born in Buena Vista September 8, 1952, the daughter of Ellen Argenbright Wilson and the late Vernol E. Mikels. Surviving are her husband, Preston H. McCormick Sr.; two sons, Preston H. McCormick Jr., Buchanan; David P. McCormick, Buena Vista; her stepfather, Robert Wilson Sr., Buena Vista; four sisters, Brenda Ramsey, Diana Pugh, and Carolyn Campbell, all of Buena Vista; Wanda Sue Smith, Natural Bridge; three brothers, Vernon Mikels, LeRoy Mikels and Gary Mikels, all of Buena Vista; one half brother, Robert Wilson Jr., Greenville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Odell Humphries. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Deborah M. McCormick Trust Fund, c/o Nationsbank, 149 W. 21st St., Buena Vista, VA. 24416.
