OBIT CROOK, JESSE J.

CROOK, Jesse J., 77, of Rocky Mount, died Friday, January 21, 1994 at his home. Mr. Crook was a longtime member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, James Corbin Crook, his parents, Daniel Rufus (Jess) Crook and Lula Hannah Crook Baker, three sisters, Rosie Whiteneck Campbell, Vercie Crook Foth and Alice Crook Fisher, one sister-in-law, Nelda Crook. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Sink Crook, of the home; two granddaughters and their husbands, Tammy and Jeff Riley, Buchanan, Donna and Stuart Burch, Spencer; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Rodgers; one sister, Nell Mundy, Midlothian; one brother, Noah Crook, Norfolk; one brother-in-law, Richard Campbell, Richmond. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 24, 1994 at the Arrington-Bussey Chapel with the Rev. J. Larry Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franklin Heights Baptist Church, Hilltop Dr., Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
