N.C. FOOTBALL STAR CHOOSES VIRGINIA

Virginia has received an oral commitment from 6-foot-3, 185-pound Germaine Crowell, a wide receiver and defensive back from North Forysth High School outside Winston-Salem, N.C.

Crowell, rated one of the top 25 prospects in North Carolina by the Charlotte Observer, had 36 receptions - five for touchdowns - and four interceptions. His finalists included North Carolina, Maryland and Georgia Tech.
