STRANGE, Bessie Mae Calloway, 60, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, January
20, 1994, in Community Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Elonze
Strange; four daughters, Judy Sullivan, Lelia Via, Bertha Strange, Angela
Thompson; one son-in-law, Hunter Sullivan; two granddaughters, Hope Havner and
Andrea Strange; three grandsons, James (Tony) Via, Antwon Strange, Sidney Via;
five sisters, Gracie Calloway, Frances Calloway, Victoria Smith all of
Roanoke; Maybell Barnes, Columbus, Ohio, SFC Belinda Calloway, Japan; five
brothers, Sam Calloway, Henry Calloway, Christopher Calloway, William Calloway
all of Roanoke, Daniel Calloway, Columbus, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,
11 a.m. at the Garden of Prayer #7, Elder Louis Hardy officiating. Interment
in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9
p.m. at the church. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
