OBIT TRUMAN, SILAS J.

TRUMAN, Silas J., 93, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, January 20, 1994. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Simmons Truman and a grandson, Michael Smith. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Darnell and Rex Smith, Brenda and Barry Campbell, all of Roanoke; one grandson, Gary and wife, Gerry Smith of Roanoke; a granddaughter, Whitney Campbell, Roanoke; two great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Ashley Smith of Roanoke; one brother, Vernard Truman of Hardy; one sister, Alberta Paxton of Roanoke. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, January 24, 1994 from the Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Carter Sloan officiating. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
