OBIT BRYANT, JAMES CARLYLE
BRYANT, James Carlyle, ("Jake"), 80, of Moneta, formerly of Roanoke, died
Friday morning, January 21, 1994, in a local hospital. He was retired TV
technician with Pete Moore and member of New Haven Baptist Church of Floyd,
Va. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vera L. Bryant, Moneta; a son,
Darrell Bryant, Smith Mountain Lake; four daughters, Darlene Lucas,
Springfield, Va., Jan B. Moore, Roanoke, Carol Bryant, Roanoke, Marcia Fowler,
Burke, Va.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother and
sister-in-law, Moyer Lee and Ivel Bryant, Danville; aunt, Clara Frye, Roanoke;
uncle, Dexter Trusler, Danville. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's
South Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. J. Michael Palmer officiating.
Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive
friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.
