OBIT DUNCAN, JAMES AARON SR.

DUNCAN, James Aaron Sr., ("Pops" and "Tonie"), 59, of Roanoke, died Saturday, January 22, 1994. Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lou Duncan, and his parents, Amos and Marcell Duncan. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and John Cobb, Roanoke, Virginia and Darrell Mattox, Troutville, and Kathy and Pat McCoy, South Carolina; five sons and daughters-in-law, James A. Duncan Jr., Roanoke, David and Jo Ann Duncan, Rocky Mount, Wayne and Teresa Duncan, Ferrum, Doug and Robin Duncan, and Darrell and Donna Duncan, all of Roanoke; 24 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, at Parrott Church of God, with the Rev. William O. Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the Sifford Cemetery, Parrott.
