RETIREMENT OFFER DOESN'T AFFECT RADFORD

Hercules Inc., the Wilmington, Del.-based company that operates the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, announced an early retirement plan Monday that it plans to offer to most of its salaried employees.

However, the plan will not affect employees at the Radford plant, said Chuck Lee, director of human resources. It was considered, he said, but found to be economically unfeasible there.

The plan will be offered elsewhere to most salaried workers 50 years of age or older with at least 10 years of experience. Hercules said it will continue to "facilitate asset restructuring activities."
