Cable channel VH-1 is launching a weekly country music program, spiced with a bit of Tritt.

Country singer Travis Tritt will be host of "VH-1 Country Countdown," starting Feb. 12. The show will be taped in cities along Tritt's national tour.

Tritt, whose most recent hit is a remake of the Eagles' "Take It Easy," will introduce videos from clubs and other sites in each city. He sometimes will be joined by other country artists. The first episode will be shot at Tritt's home in Atlanta.

"I view this as a great opportunity to reach new people with country music," Tritt said Monday.

Boris Becker looked to a fellow tennis star and a rock star for inspiration in naming his first child.

Noah Gabriel, born last week to Becker's wife, Barbara Feltus, was named after Yannick Noah and Peter Gabriel. The three-time Wimbledon champ says upon becoming a father, "I cried for 20 minutes; simply couldn't stop."
