OBIT FISHER, FRANCES BLANKENSHIP

FISHER, Frances Blankenship, 78, of Roanoke, passed away, Sunday, January 23, 1994. She was the widow of J. Cecil Fisher and a member of the South Roanoke United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law; Barbara Fisher and Larry Vinson, Petersburg; a grandson and his wife, David Fisher and Susan Scheiber Vinson, Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Naff, Roanoke, Mrs. J. O. Shively, Rocky Mount, Mrs. Craig Hamilton, Roanoke and one brother, Arthur L. Blankenship, Covington. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside, Sherwood Burial Park, at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Edward J. Taylor, Jr. officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
