OBIT SNEAD, BERNARD S.
SNEAD, Bernard S., 92, of Roanoke, formerly of Greenland Ave. N.W., died
Monday, January 24, 1994. Mr. Snead was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and
was a retired crane operator from American Bridge Company. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Lucy Updike Snead, and a son, Gordon S. Snead. Surviving
are his children, Doris Kreske, Houston, Texas, Mildred English and her
husband Penny, Roanoke, John W. Snead and his wife Pat, Sacramento, Calif.,
Steve (Squeaky) Snead, Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Dottie Snead,
Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Pat Moore and husband Terry, Houston, Texas,
Jerry and Jeff English, both of Roanoke, Mike Snead, Jacksonville, Fla., Jan
Snead, Sacramento, Calif., Glenn Snead and wife Donna, Woodbridge, David Snead
and wife Renee, Roanoke, Amy Williams and husband Terry, Bedford; four
great-grandchildren, Danielle Wallace, Chad and Ashley Snead, Carrie Williams.
Funeral services will be held at Oakey's North Chapel on Wednesday, January
26, 1994 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer officiating. Interment in
Fair View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel.
