\ Carlisle 68, Timberlake Christian 60: At Lynchburg, Kevin Warren pumped in 31 points, and Rod Mitchell added 20 as the Chiefs (4-10, 2-5) beat Timberlake Christian (4-5, 0-3) in the Virginia Independent Conference. Warren scored 10 of his points in the fourth quarter, where Carlisle (4-10, 2-5) outscored Timberlake Christian 21-16. John Phillips led Timberlake (4-5, 0-3) with 27, and Bart Hogge added 12. \
Parry McCluer 90, Highland 38: At Monterey, the Fighting Blues got balance scoring with Mike McElroy scoring 15 points in defeating the Rams (1-4, 0-3) in the Pioneer District game. Parry McCluer's bigger players used their strong inside game and better shooting to dominate Highland, which hadn't played a basketball game in nearly two weeks. The Fighting Blues led 42-12 at halftime.
