`ASK GOVERNOR ALLEN' ON RADIO

Residents of the New River Valley will have a chance to speak directly with Gov. George Allen on Thursday morning when WFNR (710 AM) joins a special Virginia News Network hookup for "Ask Governor Allen."

The broadcast, originating in Richmond, will air over the all-news-and-talk station from 10 to 11 a.m.

Area listeners can call to speak live with the governor by dialing (800) 648-9782.

"They're going to do a town hall-type meeting every month," said Karen Travis, WFNR vice president and general manager.
