COMMUNITY GARDEN MEMBERSHIP OFFERED

Seven Springs Farm is accepting members for its 1994 Community Supported Agriculture garden. Each member pays a portion of the farm's operating costs and, in turn, receives that portion of the harvest.

The farm grows a variety of vegetables and herbs and will also offer eggs, bread, chicken, beef, honey and fruit from nearby farms. All produce is grown using biodynamic compost. No synthetic fertilizers or harsh pesticides are used.

Members pick up their food once a week at one of six locations in the New River and Roanoke valleys.

Vegetable shares are $400 for a family share (feeds three to five people) and $230 for a single share (feeds one to three people).

Winter shares are available for greens and stored crops November through January.

An informational meeting will be held at Seven Springs Farm on Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. The weather date will be Feb. 12. For directions, call 651-3228.
