The Town Council passed a resolution Tuesday night adopting the recommended Capital Improvement Program for 1995-1999.

The plan, which council held a public hearing on two weeks ago, calls for $2.78 million in capital improvements during the next fiscal year.

Projects in the plan will be funded by a combination of state, federal and local money, including the sale of $2.1 million in general obligation bonds scheduled for this summer. Among other things, the plan includes:

$279,000 for building recreation facilities at the new elementary school on Prices Fork Road.

$367,000 for street repaving and improvements.

$150,000 for a new building at the municipal golf course.

$70,000 to replace the gym floor at the community center.
