LEADER OF BELARUS OUSTED BY PARLIAMENT

Parliament voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to dismiss Belarussian leader Stanislav Shushkevich, who has been implicated in a corruption scandal.

The vote was 209-36 against keeping Shushkevich. He is accused of using state funds for his personal needs.

The Parliament decided to retain Prime Minister Vyacheslav Kebich. - Associated Press
