Roanoke turned a 12-point halftime lead into a 94-62 victory to remain unbeaten in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Maroons lead the conference with a 9-0 record, 11-4 overall.
Workman had 13 assists to set the school's single-game record. Last season, Workman tied the mark of 10 set by Tracey Driscoll in 1989.
"I'm not much of a record person," Workman said. "But the assist record is different because it involves the whole team. It's not like scoring. Without the rest of the team, I wouldn't have it."
Workman, a 5-foot-2 senior guard, also had six points, five rebounds and six steals. Senior Kay Caldwell led five Maroons in double figures with 18 points.
