OBIT-JAMES, HUBERT L., ("HAM")

JAMES, Hubert L., ("Ham"), 58, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, January 26, 1994, in a local hospital. Mr. James was a Vietnam veteran and a member of A.M. Vets. Surviving are his children, Etta James, Selena Spradlin, and Clifton E. Wheeler all of Roanoke; brothers, Russell and Billy James, Roanoke; sisters, Margaret Palmer, Beulah Childress both of Roanoke, Christine Stump and Rebecca Altice, Franklin County, Doris Price, Lexington, S.C.; four grandchildren; devoted friend, Hilda Grubb. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Paul Carr officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel after 2 p.m. Thursday.
