OBIT-NUCKOLS, HERBERT LEE

NUCKOLS, Herbert Lee, 82, of Buena Vista, died Monday, January 24, 1994. Born in Amherst County, December 23, 1911, he was the son of the late Alfred and Rose Phillips Nuckols. He was the owner/operator of Nuckols Texaco Station in Buena Vista until his retirement. He was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren. He is survived by his wife, Gussie Ethel Simpson Nuckols, Buena Vista; three brothers, Lewis Nuckols, Glasgow, Richard Nuckols, Fairfield, William Nuckols, Buena Vista. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 28 at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Shumaker officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lomax Funeral Home.
